Photographing Pingtung Park | Sources and practical care

A credited 2025 historical park photograph, with practical advice distinguishing past imagery, present conditions and upcoming event lighting.

01

What the photograph shows

This guide uses Ralff Nestor Nacor’s 4 January 2025 photograph, Commons file Pingtung Park, Jan 2025 (1), showing a waterside pavilion. It is historical imagery, not evidence of 2026 conditions, today’s weather, Christmas lighting or a particular entrance.

02

Work with the actual light

Reflections and shade vary with weather and season. Compare available light on site, but do not cross waterside barriers or heritage protection boundaries for a photograph. Stop and seek appropriate shelter when conditions warrant.

03

Respect other visitors

Ask before making identifiable close-ups, especially of children. Keep equipment out of play entrances, bridges and narrow paths. Confirm permission requirements with the authority for commercial or larger shoots.

Questions before you go

Does the site photograph preview this year’s event?

No. It is a January 2025 daytime photograph. Use the organiser’s notices for the 2026 event design.

Where are the image licence details?

The caption links the creator, source, CC BY-SA 4.0 licence and modification notice. A photographic licence does not by itself clear every depicted person, building or other subject right.
