01

A park with several names

On Gongyuan Road in Pingtung City, this park also appears in older records as Zhongshan Park or A-kau Park. The National Cultural Memory Bank traces its origins to 1902, its post-war Zhongshan name and restoration of the Pingtung Park name in 2016. It is distinct from Pingtung County Citizen Park.

02

Hours, charges and local restrictions

The official tourism playground page, checked on 2026-10-30, lists 24-hour opening; the Maps snapshot agrees. This does not set hours for buildings, maintenance, event lighting or every facility, and does not establish night-time safety. No single current tariff covering all activities was verified; check entrance and organiser notices.

03

Upcoming events and family planning

The organiser lists park Christmas lighting for 6 November 2026–3 January 2027, 17:30–22:00 daily. At this review date it is an upcoming programme, not an observation that lights are already operating. The tourism page describes a shrike-themed playground and toilets; entrance access and a complete usable route need separate checks.
